The journey of Shindraj Masale began in 1962 in the heart of Girgaon, Chira Bazaar, Mumbai, when Mr Mahadev Shinde opened a small spice store named Shinde Masala. Every morning at 6 a.m., the shop came alive with the aroma of freshly ground spices.
Back then, Maharashtrian households took pride in hand-grinding their masalas at home capturing the true flavours of tradition. Inspired by this, Mr Shinde started crafting blends that preserved the authenticity of Maharashtrian cuisine, ensuring that even busy families could enjoy the same homemade richness without compromise.
From those humble beginnings, our name soon travelled to Lalbaug, where food, festivals, and tradition meet with unmatched passion. Lalbaug became more than just our marketplace; it became our identity.
OUR LEGACY
After completing his schooling, Mr Sachin Shinde, son of the founder, stepped into the business with a vision to innovate while preserving authenticity. In 2004, he began in-house manufacturing of spices, experimenting and testing every blend personally to maintain consistency and quality.
What started with just two masala variations has now grown into a diverse range of 55+ products, including premium spices, flours, and pickles. Each product is crafted with personal care, ensuring top quality, purity, and taste.
On 28th December 2021, the brand evolved Shinde Masala was re-established as Shindraj Masale, a new identity that reflects legacy, quality, and the desire to stand out in a competitive market. The same year, we also launched our online platform and social media presence, making our flavors accessible across India.
